The Digital Divide

Broadly speaking, the Digital Divide refers to the division between people that have access to the internet and those that do not. In today’s increasingly globalized and digital society those without access to broadband internet connections are unable to access the internet’s economic and educational benefits.

Using data obtained from the United Nations combined with the Mabox JavaScript library, this map seeks to provide an easily understandable and interesting view of the spatial distribution of the Digital Divide.
