Representational State Transfer
(REST)
Utilizing representational state transfer (REST) this map calls data from the City of Seattle's REST services server. This allows for this map to be continually updated as the City updates the data on its server. Many agencies make data available as a REST service which allows programmers to create applications that require very little maintenance.
